7-Day Free Trial

Every eligible plan includes a 7-day free trial. You request it from the web Try page, receive a license key immediately, and paste that key into your RustPBX config.toml. No credit card is required.

This page covers how to request the trial, what you receive, the 7-day limit, what happens at expiry, and the one-trial-per-plan rule. To install the key, continue to License Activation.

1. Before you start

You need a Miuda customer account:

  1. Go to miuda.ai/try.
  2. If you are not signed in, create a free account (or sign in). The page links to registration and login with a redirect back to the license console.
  3. Once signed in, the trial form appears with the list of plans that support a trial.

Only plans with a trial period are listed. In the current catalogue those are Enterprise PBX and VoIP Wholesale, both with a 7-day trial. Call Center AI has no self-service trial — it is contact-sales.

2. Requesting the trial

  1. On the Try page, select the product you want to evaluate.
  2. Optionally enter an Authorized Email. Leave it empty to use your account email. See the note in section 6.
  3. Click Get Free Trial License.
  4. The key is displayed immediately, with a copy button. Copy it somewhere safe before you leave the page.

The page then offers shortcuts to My Licenses (/console/licenses) and the Pricing page.

3. What you receive

The trial response contains:

FieldMeaning
license_keyThe key itself, in the form TRIAL- followed by 20 random characters, e.g. TRIAL-8M9NkEuvTrpaPaGMSgdf
planThe display name of the plan you selected
expires_atExpiry timestamp (RFC 3339), exactly 7 days after the request
trial_daysThe trial length in days (7)

The key is created as an active license with:

  • Scope inherited from the plan — for Enterprise PBX that is voicemail, ivr_editor, endpoint_manager, enterprise_auth, which is what decides which commercial addons the key unlocks.
  • IP limit of 1 — see the FAQ for what that means in practice.

4. The 7-day limit and what happens at expiry

The expiry is now + trial_days at the moment the key is issued. There is no grace period.

After expires_at passes:

  • The license server reports the key as valid = false with the reject reason “License has expired”.
  • RustPBX records the corresponding commercial addons as expired/unlicensed, and they stop being covered by the key.
  • Your data and configuration are untouched — buying a plan and renewing the same key extends the expiry rather than replacing the key.

To continue after the trial, purchase a plan from Pricing. Renewal extends the existing expiry date (it does not start a new key).

5. One trial per plan

A trial is granted once per plan, per customer account. If you already received a trial key for a plan, requesting it again returns:

You have already used a trial for this plan

The check is per plan, so an account that has trialled Enterprise PBX can still trial VoIP Wholesale, and vice versa. Once a trial has been issued the account is flagged as having used a trial, and the Try page switches to a “Trial Already Used” state that points at your existing licenses and the pricing page.

Plans without a trial return “This plan does not support trial” if requested directly.

6. Notes and caveats

Authorized Email

The Authorized Email field is optional but not cosmetic. If you set it, the license server restricts the key to that address and requires each verification to carry a matching email; the RustPBX verify request currently sends only the license key. If you are unsure whether your build sends an authorized email, leave this field empty during the trial. See License Activation for the details.

Trial requests require a signed-in customer account. Requesting a trial without one is rejected as forbidden, and trial keys are not transferable between accounts.
